At Imberia, your safety, security, and well-being are fundamental to meaningful connections. While our compatibility algorithms help bring authentic people together, your vigilance and caution remain vital. This Safety & Jurisdiction Policy outlines safety rules, user conduct standards, legal disclaimers, and jurisdictional dispute terms governing your use of Imberia.

1. ONLINE SAFETY ESSENTIALS

  • Never Send Money or Financial Information: Never transfer money, provide bank account numbers, cryptocurrency wallet addresses, credit card credentials, or social security details to anyone you meet online.
  • Protect Personal Identifiers: Do not share your home or work address, personal email, phone number, or details about your daily routine with users you have just matched with. Keep initial conversations on Imberia.
  • Beware of Phishing & Links: Never click on third-party links or download files sent by other users. Report any profile redirecting you to external commercial sites or adult portals.
  • Report Suspicious Activity: If another user requests money, behaves aggressively, sends non-consensual explicit material, or attempts extortion, block and report them immediately using our in-app reporting system.

2. IN-PERSON MEETING PROTOCOL

  • Meet in Public Places: Always arrange your first several dates in crowded, well-lit public environments (e.g., cafés, restaurants, parks). Never meet at a private residence or secluded location.
  • Inform Trusted Contacts: Tell a friend or family member who you are meeting, where you are going, and what time you expect to return. Share your live location on your mobile device.
  • Control Your Transportation: Arrange your own transportation to and from the venue. Do not let your date pick you up from your residence on the first encounter.
  • Stay Mindful of Substances: Keep your drink in sight at all times. Do not accept open drinks directly from another person unless served by venue staff.

3. BACKGROUND CHECKS & VERIFICATION DISCLAIMER

IMBERIA DOES NOT CONDUCT ROUTINE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS, IDENTITY VERIFICATIONS, OR INVESTIGATE THE CRIMINAL HISTORIES OF ITS USERS. Although Imberia strives to maintain a secure environment, we make no representations or warranties regarding the character, conduct, or identity of any user. You are solely responsible for taking necessary precautions when communicating and interacting with others.

4. ZERO-TOLERANCE CONDUCT & OFFENSES

Imberia enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of abusive or unlawful behavior. The following offenses will result in immediate, permanent account termination and potential referral to law enforcement authorities:

  • Sexual harassment, intimidation, stalking, defamation, or physical threats.
  • Non-consensual sharing or publication of intimate imagery (revenge pornography or image-based sexual abuse).
  • Human trafficking, commercial sexual services, or solicitation of prostitution.
  • Underage access or solicitation involving minors (under 18 years of age).
  • Financial fraud, identity theft, impersonation, romance scams, or commercial extortion.

5. LAW ENFORCEMENT COOPERATION & JURISDICTION

Imberia complies with valid legal process from domestic and international law enforcement agencies. We disclose user records, IP logs, geolocation data, and communication history upon receipt of valid subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, or in emergency circumstances involving an imminent threat of death or serious physical injury to any individual.

Governing Law & Venue: Any safety disputes, claims, or regulatory matters relating to Imberia's platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. All formal legal claims not subject to mandatory arbitration shall be brought exclusively before courts of competent jurisdiction.
